There seems to be a visual glitch, where upvoting also makes the downvote counter go up by one as well.

Edit: hopefully this link works: https://autistics.life/@SilverArrows/114474315964904870

Seemingly random. Error may only happen on the first post a new thread. Could be a server-side issue, but not sure.

Does this app have the option to change your profile picture? I can't find the setting, and I see when this was asked before it went unanswered.

One issue I wanted to discuss is when a post thumbnail image is cropped or not-scaled to fit on my screen.

I have the "Limit thumbnails height" setting turned off, which mostly ensures the full image of a post is displayed. However, more and more I'm seeing thumbnail images cropped due to width and I have to open the image to see the full image.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is it the expected behaviour of the app? Is my desire to see the full image of each post on my feed as I scroll ridiculous?

Thanks.

Menu -> Refresh does not cause this issue.

Hey, not sure when this regressed, as I'm browsing Lemmy rarely, but it used to sort of work when the experimental features was added, but it broke again in recent months.

Swiping the post left, to go to the next one, bumps you back to the list of posts.

Swiping right on the post seems to work, but it kinda goes back in the history, as opposed to the list of posts.

I seem to be experiencing an issue where the X-small and small comment font sizes are the same size. I was under the impression that they should be different sizes. Same thing appears to be going on for the x-large and large comment font sizes.

With x-small set: x-small

With small set: small

It would be good to have the option to filter out posts that are older than XX option in the front-page feed. Currently, I have hide after read set, so I will eventually run out of posts. However, if I then find a new community to subscribe to, my feed will eventually just be a huge list of posts dating back to potentially years that I don't want to see. To hide them, I have to scroll through all of them so that next time they will be hidden, but it would be nice if there was an option to automatically filter them out.

I probably didn't explain this well, it has been a long day. Happy to discuss further if needed

Bug - when subscribing to a community, the pop up message at the bottom says unsubscribed to community.

Unsubscribing also says the same message.

~~Version is whatever the latest on play store is now, I'll need to check and come back~~ or not, can't find the version number

The recent text bump seems to affect list view and I'm not sure if it's necessary; as it is for card view. I think the point of list view is being able to quickly view information that while is condensed, remains readable. Because of the size bump, I bumped the text scaling down a notch to 0.875, which makes the feed font size look as it was, but also reduces comment text size. It's still readable to me but is smaller than I would prefer and am used to.

There's a bunch of things that need to be taken into consideration in regards to how the UI is changed with different user-selectable font sizes, so I can understand if this is not implemented anytime soon. Or maybe just adjust it for list view and call it a day?

EDIT: Or am I crazy and it's the same size as it was for list view? I'm not sure.

Not sure when the update changed but I can't seem to find a way to view the community from the 3 dot menu of a post.

There used to be a /c/"community" on this menu.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious?

As a secondary button, tapping on it does nothing. And other methods, including viewing a post's picture and just viewing a post. This is on v264. I think I first noticed this a few versions back.

I'll post this minor one as well. If you have 4 secondary buttons set, sometimes a sticky post will have its overflow menu button clipped on the right and goes off-screen. Screenshot showing two sticky posts with its overflow menu buttons not appearing on screen.

When the app has been updated, it shows a popup with the last changes. Once you close it, there seems to be no way to re-open it again.

Am I mistaken? Because I would very much like to have the ability to review the changelog after closing the popup.

I am able to create and access two multicommunities, but when I try to create one with !news@lemmy.world, it tells me that my instance is not responding.

Not sure what the issue is. As soon as !news@lemmy.world is removed from the multicommunity, it seems to work fine.

For me the title is to big and the rest of the text is too small. Would be great if there wasn't such a large ratio between title and texts.

The same goes for the comments: I don't see much point in the text size being different from the thread text.

Landscape is not working on the latest beta it seems or am I missing some setting?

There appears to be an issue with the current version of Lemmy that removes the ability for NSFW communities to add a NSFW flag. As I understand it, Connect's client side NSFW settings use this flag to block or blur posts, so currently some posts are getting through.

Not sure if this is addressable on Connect's side, but wanted to bring it up.

I replied to the old comment about this but I think it has got lost or missed.

Thanks for adding alt text! Now we have the image display with the info panel at the bottom, could you move the alt text there? I think it will be infinitely more readable, and more obvious to find.

The highlighting of new comments seems to have broken recently. I checked my config and it is still enabled but they aren't getting highlighted any more.

20

The last update broke a number of features:

Saving images will make the app

Block community or instance no longer working

Subscribe will constantly give "unsubscribed from..."

21

Links aren't opening when tapped on if you have either card view set, in v254.

Example post.

For affected users, you may want to temporarily switch to a list view until a fix is implemented.

I'm curious how stickied posts in MultiCommunities are handled in other apps. I don't believe Connect is the only app that has this feature. Are they still posted at the top and you potentially have to scroll through a lot if you have a lot of communities added?

Currently, Connect doesn't put them at the top but rather chronologically, by your sort method.

I think it should remain at the top but if, say, the total number of stickied posts in a MultiCommunity exceeds 3, it's collapsed into a single option to open up a new page with all stickied posts.

23

Going to a user profile and selecting the add note option does nothing.

24

I think it was working fine previously but I just noticed in v252 that when you try to block an instance, it blocks the instance of the poster rather than the community the post was made.

I'm sure I reported this already, I was going to update that report but can't find it now! So sorry for the duplicate.

This is a good post to test: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/42624268

When visiting any of the links on it, the post displays but the comments don't. Refreshing either gives an error (can't find post) or shows a completely different post.
