2025 PATCH NOTES

Changes:

• Removed slider limits on "Ego"
• Removed "Shame" trait from all public figures
• Updated career "Politician" to now require zero experience
• Smugs with the career path "Journalist" are now flagged as enemies
• Intelligence briefings can now be skipped
• New romance interaction: "Pay Off Affair"
• "Spray Tan" slider can now go above 100%, up to 200%
• Gold furniture now triggers environment penalties for tasteful Smugs

Bugfixes:

• Fixed a major bug where facts used to affect Smugs
• Fixed an issue where losing was treated as an ending
• Fixed exploit where classified documents could be stored in pool houses
• Dealt with recurring error where Smugs thought satire was endorsement (hopefully this time it will actually work?)

Known issues:

• The phrase "I take responsibility" is inaudible to other Smugs in all modes
• Smugs ask "Why is this happening?" after school shootings but do nothing
• In multiplayer, one player can control all three branches of government
• Loop in which Smugs deny climate change while being evacuated from floods
• It is possible to "Try For Baby" with a flag
• Smugs might high five lobbyists and PR execs after public tragedies
• Secret service Smugs sometimes just stop trying
• Graphical issue might cause empathy to fail to render
• Global economy rebalance might heavily affect your Smug
