For example, I don’t think squid game would’ve captured the same audience if it didn’t come out during the pandemic

That would've been more successful if it released 5 or 10 years or even more later.

It’s not Squid Game — at least not according to the way Netflix ranks its programming. Adolescence, the critically acclaimed U.K. limited series that earned 13 Emmy nominations earlier this week, takes the crown with 144.8 million views worldwide since its March 13 premiere.

Squid Game is not far behind, however. Season two of the Korean thriller, released in the last week of 2024, is second among all series with 117.3 million views from January to June. The third and final season is one spot back with 71.5 million views, despite having premiered just four days before the close of the half-year.

Keeley Hawes is a retired hitwoman just trying to live a quiet life in a slick, nasty and very fun thriller. Plus, Sterling K Brown leads a captivating drama about freedom and flying machines

I think I counted like maybe two or three programs I’d watch on this list. Probably not enough to get me to subscribe anytime soon. Hoping the “Little House” adaptation is realistic.

Trying to remember the last time I wanted to watch anything on Peacock. “Poker Face” is the only series I know of that has any buzz. I guess people subscribe for sports coverage? It’s not an Olympic year yet.
