I grew up in the Northeast USA and have fond memories of snow, snowmen, sledding, skiing, and digging out the big piles of snow left by the plow to make cozy forts (somehow they didn't collapse and kill us). Then I moved to the southern US for 18+ years. Now that I've been back in the Northeast for a few years, I still get a little giddy when it snows. It's beautiful and soaks up all of the sound, making the woods around us even quieter.

Our son is 2 and apparently has the same zest for snow as I do. He can't get enough of it. He has a sled under the Christmas tree, but until then we're just pulling him around on a snow shovel.

Sounds like the sled will be a hit!
