I wonder why the game has the ability to load roms from the memory card. I don't think that was said in the post, unless i missed it.

Was it for testing the nes games they included? Or some sort of memory card event they did?

There's a few good videos online about the N64 version of the game, and how it can load ROMs from memory cards as well:
