Points to ponder:
Library vs. Public Availability:
Schools can choose what books to offer, but books are still available in other places like public libraries or bookstores.
Parental Involvement & Community Values:
Schools reflect community values, & parents may not want certain books available for younger students.
Curriculum Control:
Schools control their curriculum & materials; removing a book doesn't prevent its broader availability.
