Not like, casual "Hi, how are you?" but seriously, how are you? Are you sleeping okay, is everything in your personal life going all right? And if not, can Internet strangers do anything to help?

The only person derailing at this point is the person who refuses to engage with other ideas and just repeats “I stand by what I said.”

I'm telling you straight to your (virtual) face, that I read and processed what you opined on, as well as the quotes you included.

I mean no insult to you, but I definately disagree with you on the interpretation of the quotes you included.

And thats ok, well all see things from our own perspectives.

You obviously did not make any attempt to understand Debord’s quote at all if all you took from it is “plagiarism is okay.”

Plagiarism is necessary. Progress implies it. It embraces an author’s phrase, makes use of his expressions, erases a false idea, and replaces it with the right idea.

-Guy Debord, Society of the Spectacle, 1968

That looks like a justification to allow plagiarism to me, thats its ok out of necessity to do.

And I believe my interpretation is the most accurate one that most would take out of reading that whole quote, especially in the context of the conversation we two are having right now. 🤷

And for the record, I completely disagree with Debord based on his quote you supplied.

Again, I'm not trying to trash your belief system, I'm just disagreeing with it strongly, and pushing back against it.

Lets just leave this as agree-to-disagree, and move on, ok?
