Hardly any mention of this from Apple or their associated media, despite the fact that an AAA game launching a Mac port on day 1 is virtually unheard-of in 2023.

Except it’s not available on Mac on day one. Larian hasn’t even announced when it will be aside from “at a later date.”

Update: Apparently, the Steam Discussions page has a post that lists it as September 5.
