Yeah my dad went. He finally retired at 65, and the pension he worked for was killed in the 90s. Then his 401k, RothIRA, and now social security are vanishing.
He voted for Dems every time, but we live in a conservative state. He did everything right, and still got screwed.
And you know what? He's still most concerned for what happen to his kids and grandkids. He's done his best, but rich people made that not good enough.

He tries. Everyone's only human, but I can certainly appreciate the sentiment on wanting your kids to be ok. I feel the same about mine. And I worry that he's going to be ok as he gets older. There's a lot of infrastructure needed to care for the people that built the roads before you, so we can continue to build roads leading to the future. If he loses his safety net, I won't expect one. And then where's the incentive to better society?
