  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

"And they have the audacity to try to brand this as Christian. What does that word even mean to them? Wearing a necklace?" AOC added

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) again slammed Republicans for supporting Donald Trump's "big, beautiful" bill as the initiative gets closer to passing in the Lower House.

The lawmaker wrote the post while responding to an article by the New York Times, which detailed that a "conga line of angsty Republican lawmakers filed through the West Wing on Wednesday, hemming and hawing about the" bill only to walk out with "signed merchandise, photos in the Oval Office and, by some accounts, a newfound appreciation for the bill."

I mean anywhere. Let’s see that comment history start getting real and less ML

This account is 3 days old, I barely have any comments. This is so stupid I'm not sure how to respond.

In a thread about domestic politics in the US, I made the claim that Democrats fully backed a genocide, and you're still going on about me not talking about other countries. Are you dense, or a Zionist pos trying to detail the conversation?

It's just weird. You're just weird.

[–] madlian@lemmy.cafe -1 points 21 hours ago (4 children)

Let’s go look at your previous account then. What’s the username?

[–] 3abas@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

So I made an argument about US domestic policy and somehow I need to prove to you that I have another account where I criticize other countries for the genocide of my people before you'll accept that you're being a super weird ZioNazi right now?

[–] madlian@lemmy.cafe 0 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

You can use names like ZioNazi all you want, but we both know it’s not true.

You, however, don’t care about Palestinians. You care about REEEEEEE and your dopamine, not what’s actually going on and who else to blame.

[–] 3abas@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

For the record, I see futility in arguing with a (possibly a bot) disingenuous asshole. I'm responding for posterity so maybe others passing by can see this conversation and judge for themselves.

I am Palestinian, and I'm living in America speaking not my native tongue and arguing with an asshole who in response to me saying "Democrats backed a genocide" wrote all the awful shit you did. You're a bad person.

[–] madlian@lemmy.cafe 1 points 9 minutes ago

You continue to ignore that what I’m saying is right: you only care because you can blame the USA.

Why are you living in the country that is responsible?* You could go to one of the countries fighting Israel and the evil USA. You are choosing to be here.

* (Assuming you are using ‘America’ to mean the USA, which is something we should all stop doing.)
