Poor thing
It’s not right to let them get this big, hope he got healthy

Poor kitty. :(
Obviously his weight was a huge problem and massive threat to his health. But honestly if he had cancer, I don't know that they would have known before it was too late anyway, even if he was of normal size. That's the scary part about cancer. It grows silently until it causes noticeable problems and by then it can be difficult or impossible to treat... especially in animals.
:(
A normal cat weights around 4kg. Crumbs weighted at most 17kg. That's a little over 4 times the normal weight.
An average weight for an average person is 70kg. 4 times the normal weight for an average human would be 280kg
That's 617lbs for the Americans. And wouldn't you know it, we have a whole show about that. 152 episodes.

Wow, I've seen posts about the here and there. I've got such mixed feelings about it. I mean it's interesting and good to spread awareness. But it feels wrong to make entertainment from sick people.
the sick aren't going to magically get better from not laughing at them
True, but it's kinda sick behavior to laugh at them. Where is your empathy?
buried, where it belongs
It may motivate them and help them with connections to get better. I wish they weren't exploited to do so, but it's not my TV programming.
Aww poor little guy.
