TBH, for a place with so many guns, the number of ICE agents shot dead is almost unbelievable.
Said many times on here, about daily, they're not raiding states where gun culture is strong and laws are not strict. See this happening in the South? This shit isn't happening in Florida where I'm at, not a peep from ICE. And you better fucking believe I'm watching closely. Having a brown, immigrant wife means I have a dog in this fight. Masked men show up on my porch or molest us in public? I am opening fire, instantly. This is fucking personal.
How about Texas? My god, there are so many Hispanics over there it blew my mind visiting near Austin. LOL, never seen so many people with black hair. And that was my impression having directly moved from Chicago! Want to round up immigrants? Texas should be ground zero.
And speaking of Chicago, why do you think they're next on the list? Very restrictive gun laws. For example, Illinois has no conceal-carry reciprocity with any other American state. In other words, my Florida permit means jack in Illinois. That's very unusual as most states have some form of reciprocity.
You can't have an AR-15 in Illinois, the most effective fighting rifle ever designed. Hell, they tried to ban all semi-automatic weapons. Even though a court has struck the law, it's still in litigation. Think the fascists are sending troops in where civilians have equivalent firepower? LOL. No. They will eventually, but ATM they're consolidating power by starting with soft targets.

I don’t know if it’s a lack of guns that makes Chicago a target so much as it’s a high profile blue city that’s been getting a bad rap for a long time. A lot of people who haven’t been there believe it’s a shithole. I live in Florida and work in Chicago. I expected a crime filled hellscape when I went there for the first time. It turns out it’s beautiful, a chill place, and you can walk down the street safely at night. I’m sure there are pockets that are really bad, but it’s not like you turn a corner and stumble into one. Meanwhile, you have cities all over Florida that are more of a dump, with drugged out zombies, hobos, crime, and crumbling infrastructure.
Came to Florida after a couple of years in Chicago. No, it was not what I expected up there. Hell, I worked on the South Side all the time, no issues. Though some of the black folks were clearly racist with me, most were great people.
