Just noting the many issues I'm seeing talked about on r/BlueSkySocial with the childish management. Not saying that most people are about to leave, but this /could/ cause a downstream effect?

Basically. Its fediverse so both pull from the same communities. You can even post/comment/ect.... From mastodon if one wishes.

There are some differences. PieFed has event and poll posts, but I don’t think Lemmy does. PieFed also has post flairs, but I don’t think Lemmy has post flairs yet (but I think will via tags). Lemmy on the other hand is more battle tested than PieFed since it’s been around longer. But PieFed has been improving rapidly imo.

Lemmy is written and maintained by tankies. So that might also factor into some people’s decision making process.

Me and the tankies might not agree on the role of government in people's lives but we can (surprisingly) agree that social interactions should not be controlled by a CEO.
