I just bought a vegan refill because when you see it in a retail setting in Europe, it sparks some sort of thrill...

I still look forward to seeing the difference. I'm of the opinion that a lot of soaps can be "fixed" by loading more of it. Sgr is pretty famous for not loading much.

I can understand that, and I agree with you. This may be a formulation (like SV), which operates better by being a little thicker. Sgr is quite focused on minimizing cost in all areas. This includes the amount of soap he uses. I'm certain that resonates with many who are just getting into the hobby. Admittedly, I stopped worrying about the cost of hobbies many years ago. Sailing, golf, and RC will cure you.
