Resist: It's Time

We are still in this together, but "this" is going to be real different in the very near future. This demands a different kind of "we."

The French Resistance during Nazi occupation played important roles delivering downed Allied airmen back to safety, supplying military intelligence, and acts of sabotage.

The Underground Railroad is estimated to have brought 100,000 freedom seekers to safety between 1810 and 1850.

It's time.

October 18, 2025, may be a turning point. The administration has been gearing up to stomp a jackboot down on people who would oppose them. There's going to be a lot of us out there marching, and some of us might end up under that heel.

Be prepared. Bring water. Have an escape plan. Be ready to help those near you.

This is also important: if you aren't able to directly participate, for whatever reason, you are still needed. Just like there needs to be ten times the number of support people in the wings behind fighting troops, we will need you in the wings supporting us.

I'm going to be focused on the world in my immediate vicinity, so I'm going to need you to post relevant breaking news as it comes up. That way I can check in from time to time to keep abreast of what's going on elsewhere, and pass that information to the people near me. People who need to escape are going to need somewhere to go, and maybe a way to get there. They'll need food, water, medical care, and moral support when they get there.

We're in this together. Wherever you are, whether you're carrying a sign on the street, keeping yourself safe away from the fray, or anywhere in between - you are necessary and you are still part of this.

If I just stand on a random corner with a sign that says "FUCK FASCISM," because there are no events near me for this, does it count as a protest or is the same as a homeless guy with a sign that says "aliens took my wife, pls help?"

I know you are joking but the fact its at the same time as what is happening around the country. I would say yes.

Only semi-joking. I might actually do it since I took the day off anyway. Tho I am thinking "Honk if you Hate Fascism" would be better sign.
