Sure enough, he ended up finding a dead rat. Unsurprising, considering he previously used a dead rat as an “alarm clock” because the sun would begin cooking the corpse, causing it to smell, and the stench would wake him up.

This guy is a disgusting piece of shit...

That being said, skin does have a "horny layer" that we scrub off:

The stratum corneum (Latin for 'horned/horny layer') is the outermost layer of the epidermis of the skin. Consisting of dead tissue, it protects underlying tissue from infection, dehydration, chemicals, and mechanical stress. It is composed of 15 to 20 layers of flattened cells with no nuclei or cell organelles.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stratum_corneum

Scrub that off with abrasive scrubs full of chemicals and you exposure a "fresh" layer that looks good and healthy, but doesn't offer the same protection. Which can lead to issues like acne or even skin cancer.

You still need to shower though, and not use a fucking dead rat as a smell alarm clock...

But there's almost always a small seed of truth they build the crazy off of. Like how every pearl starts as a tiny piece of sand.
