Is he going to do this Brett Favre thing where he pretends to retire every year and there's this whole media circus following him around obsessing over it?

Just go out without a peep, dude. It's classier…but then again Quentin isn't really known for class though he's certainly capable of recognizing it from others.

He has said many, many years ago that he was only going to do 10 movies so I don't understand your point about pretending to retire.

And I'm in no hurry to see it.

I've been waiting for Final Movie for so long.

I was much younger when Penultimate Movie came out.

Honestly, and I say this as a fan of the majority of his films, it can wait.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood literally bored me to sleep both times I tried to watch it in one sitting with no distractions. Hateful Eight was long but at least it was engaging the whole time because of the powderkeg situation. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, even though it was obvious they were leading up to the Manson family stuff, it just didn't have any underlying tension to sustain it, so with its 2 hour 41 minute runtime it just dragged and felt self-indulgent compared to his other works.

Man, I feel exactly the same way. Litterboxd has the most obnoxious, effusive reviews of that film, acting like it is the most groundbreaking film ever. Inglourious basterds, Death Proof, and Kill Bill was like his last stride of phenomenal film making IMO. Everything after that has been edgelord garbage for me...

I felt the exact opposite, OUATIH held my attention the whole time while Hateful Eight was a bit of a slog. I think I need to re-watch Hateful Eight though because I've been on a bit of a spaghetti western binge recently.

How do we convince this guy to just make more movies. The world is worse off not having Tarantino movies.
