General community for news/discussion in the UK.

Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

this is a whitewash, which will result in the tate brothers being cleared of all charges, and never extradited back to romania. ta-da!

We were wondering what the angle was. Always highly suspicious of anything from these scumbags that initially looks good.

Is there another Florida I'm not aware of? This is so uncharacteristic of Florida, USA. Maybe Matt Gaetz doesn't like the competition?

They are black Muslims accused of raping white women. Hard to say which way the fix will go.

Is hating women and having money more important than white supremacy in Florida in 2025? Place your bets!

Florida trying to decide between being more racist or misogynistic: “There’s so many good arguments on both sides”.

Oh no, couldn't have happened to a nicer pair of brothers.

if they are convicted, I wonder if Trump would then pardon them.

He can't pardon state crimes, only federal ones. At least that's true according to the Constitution, but we know how this administration follows that, so who knows.

I’m sure the brothers will see a single day in prison if the yanks ever figure out where they buried their spine after 1945.
