It is at least making it obvious which of our government institutions are bootlicking cowards.
I'm curious: the USA wants to dominate the final frontier, how will they ensure a civilization can thrive without woman in those new settlements?
Anyways, the idea is horrific and stupid, let's hope the US implodes.
The far right morons and the cowards enabling them are fucking things up for its own sake. They're not thinking ahead. They're not actually even thinking, they're just reacting to imaginary shit.
They aren't the USA, they're the parasites the USA is infected with.

Those were idealistic and aspirational. What we should be.
They can't cancel the graphic novel that accurately depicts what it's like being a woman in aerospace.
So, I'm curious if they're just bowing to trump in extreme desperation to keep federal funding, otherwise they're out of a job? Or, do they have some maga right wingers in leadership at NASA?
My guess and hope is the former. If true, maybe they have to come off as spineless just to keep being funded. I dunno, just speculating.
My guess is a bit of both. As a woman who's spent some time working in IT, there are still more than enough men who are pissed at having to include women and would jump at the opportunity to get them out of the door or degrade them as soon as possible. Give them an opportunity like "Oh no, now we have to take those women-related things down. Just in case, gotta keep our funding. Too bad, so sad." and they'll jump on it.
NASA is always, and in the first place a military organisation in service of the US regime.
