Unashamed Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy enjoyer here. It was a dumb fucking show, and I enjoyed it so much.

My parents hated it so much

Not gonna lie, as a parent now, I would hate to have my kids watching it. We're an AuDHD family, there were so many single-D behaviors I repeated because I thought they were hilarious (and I was the only one), and I just know my son would too.

Single-D behaviors is a term I am absolutely stealing

[–] SmackemWittadic@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Single-D and Patrick Star were my childhood idols as an attention-lacker

i don't get it. what does it mean?

[–] CMLVI@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago

There were three characters. Ed, Edd, and Eddy in the show. Edd (Double D) was the smart one, Ed was the comedic dumb character. Never heard him called Single-D before, but it's a funny way to call someone's behavior stupid or I guess simple lol

Buttered toast!

What is a single-D behavior?

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 11 points 1 week ago

Stuff that Ed (single D as opposed to Double-D) would do or say.

Finding yourself in a boat with no means of propulsion, then uh...

... revving up your mouth, becoming a human motorboat engine, and then powering your way home.

A gigantic visual pun on the concept of 'motorboating' for adults, a wacky absurd nonsense scene for children.

Wish I had a gif of this lol, not sure which episode its from.

The score slapped

Absolute favourite when I was a kid and still love it. Best show back in the day.

I heard about the death of the author, never thought about it as a fight though
