Everyone I don't agree with is a troll.

No, that's not what a troll is.

A troll is someone you don't agree with, specifically going out of their way to say things the community they are posting in would get mad over.

Like if I want to a Fortnight forum and said "Fortnight fucking sucks" I would be trolling. Even though I am also telling the absolute truth.

[–] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 2 years ago

no it isn't

[–] Flowers@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

No it's not. A troll is everyone that disagrees with me

That's a sealion. Trolls try to get an emotional reaction, whereas sealions try to wear you down and/or waste your time with bad faith arguments.

Oh I don't like that at all

Side note: calling out trolls is not the same as "falling for it," and blunt language over demonstrable bullshit is not incivility.

Mods who refuse to deal with trolls and threaten commenters who will deal with trolls are creating a community for trolls.

Oh I give them their debate. They will eventually start using ad hominem attacks anyway, despite that being one of their ridiculous arguments ("be polite when I'm being stupid") since they don't actually have facts or use logical thinking.

Anyone else remember "disemvoweling?" I vote for that instead of deleting comments. Let us frolic amidst the shattered ruins of our foes.

How much did you pay for bots to upvote this though? Real question.

He didn’t pay anything. I payed for it. I payed about 350 red gummi bears and one chicken nugget burger.
