One really weird thing that stands out to me is

hard labour.......picking litter, picking produce, clearing mine fields, cleaning up Chernobyl

Ok, so picking vegetables and cleaning up rubbish; is somehow equivalent to clearing explosives or cleaning up nuclear contamination.

So strange.

Making the exception for young boys stumbling across it has me wondering if this was a post on child pornography. The extreme punishments would make more sense too.
