[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

Absolute hopium.

[–] Default_Defect@midwest.social 31 points 1 day ago

Not gonna read this, if Trump was ever going to face consequences, it would have happened by now. The rapist is gonna die peacefully in his sleep eventually. There is no god.

Some people commit a felony and get punished for four years or more, Trump commits 34 felonies and we get punished for four years (or more)

[–] baatliwala@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

What kind of AI generated blog spam website is this, why is a US website named Sarkari Form

[–] scbasteve7@lemm.ee 11 points 1 day ago

He may be doing illegal shit that people want to put a stop to, but half the government backs him completely, and blindly. And the other half is a bunch of spineless pussies who care more about their donors and their own optics than bettering the country. Nobody is gonna do anything about it

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

LOL
I've been hearing that since Trump 1.
Any day now.

The Holocaust was legal

Stfu click bait. Why would he suddenly start experiencing consequences?

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago

The legal experts are usually wrong. I'm interested to hear what the legal amateurs have to say.

[–] lennyuncle@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'm on this poll for positive news. All I see is this political shit. No matter right or left or communists - I'm sick of all of it.

[–] silasmariner@programming.dev 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah I agree 100% with this sentiment. Every so often - say, every 20 posts or so - there's something that's actually uplifting. But most of it is just political wank, as you say. Or one was 'Israel finally allows some food into Gaza' which tbqh I don't find uplifting so much as absolutely sickening because it reminds me of how absolutely awful the context for it is.

Still, not gonna unsub because Lemmy is too small for me to be that picky 😅

[–] haui_lemmy@lemmy.giftedmc.com 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Honestly, i get your point. But it is really easy to be the change you want to see and make a commubuty that does not allow polulitics and just crosspost what you think fits. People will likely enjoy that kind of content. You have one subscriber in me already if you make it.

[–] silasmariner@programming.dev 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ufghh I know but omg I'm not one of nature's posters. I was on Reddit for like 5 years before I even made my first comment. I dunno if I have it in me. That's probably one of the reasons I'm so loath to complain about content - like, what right have I?

I strongly encourage you to review that stance. You're doing good and people grow. Also, crossposting isnt that hard. At least on voyager you press crosspost, press autofill for the title and decide which community to post in, done. Other apps and webapps should be similar. At least thats what I hope. :)

Anyone that actually tries to sentence him will end up on an ice plane to El Salvador.

[–] Randomgal@lemmy.ca 32 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Trust me bro, just one more lawsuit and the Nazis are gone.

[–] Retrograde@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Ya bro trust me this lawsuit will totally get him, promise

I'll say what I've been saying for 9 years: I'll believe it when I see it.

[–] Scotty_Trees@lemmy.world 38 points 2 days ago

Can I downvote this any harder? We've been hearing "prison time" for years, just dangling a carrot. I'm not even going to bother reading this.

[–] Wispy2891@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

My eyes see this as an ai generated slop, am I wrong?

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Idk I just googled guillotine and took a screenshot of a guillotine image

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

That's for a population with balls.
Not the neutered US.

[–] BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

A mountain of felonies, millions of civil rights violations, violent insurrection, and not only is he not currently in prison for his crimes…

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 18 points 2 days ago

He's been facing prison for years already, yet here we are

[–] SoftestSapphic@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago (1 children)

K. Let me know when it happens. I'll believe it then. I'll just keep hoping until then.

[–] Phoenicianpirate@lemm.ee 16 points 2 days ago

I seriously, seriously doubt it. As much as the insiders all hate trump with an absolute vengeance, he is too goddamn useful for them to want to get rid of him.

Trump is a symptom of a much, much larger systemic issue that has been on slow burn for decades, but the thing that Trump does that no one else can do is have such a massive fanatical fanbase. They do not have any other person who can rile people up while also being an absolute moron who insults them at every turn and treats them worse than whatever shit he has them lick off his shoes.

If the bullet fired at him last year had hit him between the eyes and killed him before he hit the ground, it would not solve the problem, but it would have abso-fucking-lutely had a massive effect on everything. It would have hindered their ability to go forward with a lot of shit since his fanbase would have been heavily divided. Trump's attribute is that he is the glue that keeps their movement together, but not the actual mover of that movement. Trump doesn't have beliefs. He does not give a fuck about anything other than himself. He does not care about his children, grandchildren, wife, ex-wives/mistresses, his country, his friends (whom he does not have). He does not care at all about anything other than self-aggrandizement, enriching himself, and staying out of prison/legal punishment for his countless misdeeds.

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 day ago

Yeah sure. Been hearing it for the last decade.

If that dude faced consequences I will eat my hat

[–] Furbag@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

Trump will die a free man, sadly. The justice system has already made up it's mind and nothing he does will ever be punished, no matter what.

Now, how he dies is still up in the air. I think the odds are already not in his favor to have a peaceful death in his sleep. The best he can hope for is a disease taking him out at this point.

[–] OmegaLemmy@discuss.online 11 points 1 day ago

He is literally a criminal already, if he's not in jail now he will never be unless democrats act or he is shunned from republican party

[–] PunksAlwaysWin@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Everyone who still reads articles that say 'blah blah looking at, blah blah might be" and gets hopeful are morons. He will keep getting away with whatever he wants. These articles have been happening for 10 years now and nothing EVER HAPPENS.

[–] the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago (2 children)

the only way trump will ever see justice is if he gets Luigied.

The only solution is a French style revolution

[–] Wazowski@lemmy.world 51 points 2 days ago

Give me a fucking break. If that cunt meets justice, it’ll happen on the street.

[–] Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago

Make it poison and you have a deal

[–] HelixDab2@lemm.ee 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Which "legal experts" are claiming Trump could be facing prison? If they actually have JDs, they should be disbarred for incompetence.

SCOTUS has already ruled on this; the president has very, very broad immunity from any criminal prosecution. The case was dropped in Florida because his stealing highly classified documents was an "official action"; if that can be handwaved away, then so can defrauding the country with a shitcoin pump-and-dump.

Similar to the case where he was convicted of multiple felonies and given (checks notes) not even a slap on the wrist?

Do those "legal experts" have the ability to enforce the law?

[–] samus12345@lemm.ee 6 points 2 days ago (5 children)

Those walls have been closing in on Trump for 8 years now.
