Good for running over kids. I love my relatively tiney, low off the ground car. This thing doesn't need to be so high at all, it's just made to look like an SUV. But it turns into a SUCC

[–] 0ops@lemm.ee 2 points 1 week ago

I dunno, I feel like between the shortened body and larger wheels, the height is a bit of an illusion. Just eyeballing it, I don't think this thing is very tall, perhaps just slightly taller than stock. My point being, this thing probably sits lower than most modern crossovers. Here's a stock taco for reference, notice that there's not so much lift to fit the oversized wheels as much as they just enlarged and deapened the wheelwells:

Gotta admit, though, it looks like some nice bodywork. ATBGE

[–] merde@sh.itjust.works 22 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I want to pull it backwards until it disappears

I mean this is basically the chode of vehicles. It's the accurate representation of what those lifted hibeam smokestack truck owners are actually like lol

Edit: Those mfers are Tonka tough. Still going through life with the mind of a toddler.

Nah this thing has purpose, unlike most ridculous obnoxious lifted trucks that are poor for both offroading and towing. This would almost definitely perform extremely well offroad and likely was made just to be an offroader. It might not be your hobby or taste, and that's fine, but someone has created a really cool and special vehicle here

Yep - pulled up next to a Small-Penis-Mobile the other day, new Ford extra cab, super duty diesel, with that stupid Roosh package no less, so we know he paid a LOT extra. And it was black, shiny and clean, even the tires. Fucking garage queen for a twat.

Lifted, stupid tires, some stupid gizmo in the receiver.

I bet I've towed more with my 20-year-old "toy truck" than that douchebag ever will. Oh, and he was on speakerphone holding the phone up with his right hand, going 5mph under the limit, holding up traffic.

I probably get better fuel economy with 250k on the odometer, and I don't spew out the crap he does.

Asshat.

[–] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

and i bet they go WEEEEEEE whenever they drive it

[–] iltoroargento@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 2 weeks ago

Okay, yeah you have me converted. I'm definitely not a vehicle elitist and am all for purpose lol my initial reaction was how to like it is from the post and how those types of people continually infantile themselves to their own detriment.

This looks like the truck equivalent of a really short guy with huge muscles and a perpetual scowl, who always keeps his shoulders directly above his knees and his hands in karate-chop pose while he walks.

[–] Stalinwolf@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 weeks ago

You know, it absolutely does. It does look like him..

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Steal a manhole cover, paint it to look like a penny.

[–] Stamets@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I just realized that I had to think for a while about what a penny looks like. God we banned them here in Canada so long ago...

[–] Albbi@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And I'm so happy we got rid of them.

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

You sound like someone who hasn't seen the glorious ATF violation know as penny coin shot.

[–] PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Two patents exist for quarter-shooting pistols designed for shooting coins at toll booth baskets from 1965 and 1988. Source: wikipedia.

This is the world AnCap libertarians want.

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 weeks ago

Oh no I was referring to cutting pennies into halves and quarters, then putting them into 12 gauge shells.

[–] mattbnr@lemm.ee 16 points 2 weeks ago

I don’t hate it….in fact I kinda like it

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 16 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

This is unironically awesome. Needs a bigger lift to give room for suspension travel though

[–] kruhmaster@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

That thing has to turn weirdly.

[–] logos@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 weeks ago

Looks like if you accelerate too quickly it will do a backflip.

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Probably turns on a dime and crawl and fit around hazards offroad like a champ

[–] Onomatopoeia@lemmy.cafe 3 points 2 weeks ago

As in quickly, and with style?

I can only imagine the complaining of those tires as you try to turn. And heaven help you if you installed some kind of limited-slip differential.

A monster truck the size of a minivan

[–] PillowTalk420@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

World's biggest RC car.

Look at the DUMPY on that thing

Truck equivalents of the Airbus A318 babybus aren't real, they can't hurt you

It is!
Like, this is what baby trucks look like before they grow up :)

It's absurd and hilarious and I love it.

But is it just a stock Tacoma with big wheels or did they do more body mods to it? It looks way smaller than even older style trucks like the bed was shortened or something but that could just be an illusion due to the size of the wheels.

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 4 points 2 weeks ago

Mileage... 3 Mpg...yes

I'd end up pulling it too far back and it would snap.

[–] xorollo@leminal.space 3 points 2 weeks ago

Lil, I was just wondering today if something like this existed. A truck with the small two-seat cab and a bed that matches today's truck aspect ratios.

[–] molten@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

How do I get one?

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 2 points 1 week ago

He’s just popped out to retrieve the wives from Furiosa.

[–] Pnut@lemm.ee 2 points 1 week ago

Say what you will. Make the wheels smaller and you have a pretty useful tuck if you're in the city.

[–] peetabix@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

A stump truck
