Nothing will get him out of office other than death. That includes 2028.

I don't know if even death will. Maybe he stops making public appearances for "national security reasons" and only communicates through video broadcasts. Anyone who notices something is slightly off about them, like frames where he has extra fingers or nonsense text on the papers on his desk is called a conspiracy theorist, and to shut up and celebrate the Dear Leader's 170th birthday.

nonsense text on the papers on his desk

I mean this wouldn't necessarily indicate AI in this case

Sadly, the grim reaper pulled the actress that played Houlihan on mash out of the claw machine instead of trump.

Someone give him more quarters!

I have a horrible feeling you're right

[–] wanderwisley@lemm.ee 46 points 1 week ago (16 children)

My hope is that he has a massive stroke live on TV and then ends up wheelchair-bound unable to speak without the help of a Stephen Hawking style talk box and then deteriorates over the next few months and off to the golf course with ya Donny.

I hope his head is removed from his shoulders by the gravitational force of the sharpened edge of a thin quadrangular sheet of metal, but to each their own I suppose.

Technically a guillotine blade is a trapezoid, if you'd like to be specific.

How would you know? Suddenly he's coherent and can stay in topic? Says sorry like once?

[–] MeaanBeaan@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

"Y'know, Barrack kinda looked sharp in that tan suit."

dies

[–] Spezi@feddit.org 9 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I hope he soon dies a painful slow death for what he said about Bidens cancer diagnosis:

If you feel sorry for him, don’t feel sorry for him, because he’s vicious.

President Drooly has a great ring to it.

[–] wanderwisley@lemm.ee 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I could definitely see him being wheeled out onto the stage and with his robot voice say “the deep state did this to me!” And then he shits himself.

Wait. You're telling me that people in their late 70s early 80s don't make for great presidents??

No way. 😐

I don't see how it could make any difference.

He's already an idiot, a delusional narcissist, and a compulsive liar, so it's not as if he could become even more detached from realitybthan he already is. And his supporters don't care (and likely don't even notice), since they're even dumber than he is.

And it's not like he"s going to forget his platform, since it's pretty much just hating immigrants and LGBTQ, dicking over poor people, singing his own praises and scamming as much money as possible, and that's all as natural and automatic to him as breathing..

Really, there's just not much cognition going on there in the first place - it's more in the nature of infantile immediacy and animal instincts - so I can't see how any loss of it would matter much.

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 23 points 1 week ago (1 children)

we might not make it through four years

[–] EvilBit@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It’s a race. By the time he dies, will you still be able to afford a trip to shit on his grave?

Just look at some of his speeches from the last time he was president and you'll see the difference is night and day. Before it was just stupidity, but now it's so much worse and he can barely form a sentence compared to then. And for all the people saying "well, Biden was clearly in decline too and everyone tried to hide it." And you're probably right. But you know what? He's not the president right now. And if it was such a big deal back then it should be an even bigger deal now because we are still letting it happen.

So, as expected, he will die without suffering the consequences of his actions.

Sounds about white.

American justice is the butt of a joke.

Assuming he's dead or leaves in 2028, America wasted 8 years on a felon rapist. 8 years of our lives with not just no progress, but regression. Means we'll see less progress and less benefits in our short lives. So fucking pathetic.

It's not like he's going to begin acting like an irrational idiot soon. Why would this change anything?

[–] raltoid@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago

I mean, yeah? That's why they pushed Thiel's puppet as VP.

[–] blorbo@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

C'mon, Rick Wilson saying something mean about Trump isn't news. He's not changing any Republican minds, his Lincoln Project has been outside the tent for years.

Biden stayed on, Woodrow Wilson stayed on, Rotten Regean stayed on. I would imagine there was even more Presidents not medically competent to run the country.

Having your President medically incompetent to run America seems to be tradition.

[–] shittydwarf@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They'll just wheel him around like they did with Alzheimer's Reagan in the 80s. Anything to keep up doing the most evil shit they can think of without repercussions

Wish all you want that Trump preferably dies soon but it doesn't matter. He is merely the punching bag and front for the real rulers: the oligarchs. They will only prop up someone else as the fall guy, while they steal every fibre, life and soul of everything they touches.

I can't wait for corporate fascism! Enclave when?! /s

But seriously, America wants to speedrun to corporate fascism (Thiel and Musk are accelerationists after all). But even without this speed running, corpo-fascism is only the logical conclusion of America's deranged obsession and worshipping of capitalism.

[–] pjwestin@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

The problem is that he's always been a stupid, self-important blowhard that tells rambling, pointless stories, so his incoherence is less pronounced. Biden, for all his faults, was a great orator and debator, even around 2016 to 2018, so his drop-off in the last five years was a stark shift.
