I was looking for ways to remember what to clean during bath and I’ve found this product that uses Velcro to check what you’ve done and what’s left to clean, and it genuinely seems like a great idea!

What other mechanisms do y’all know/use?

Just wait until one day you're tootired to do it. So then the next day you forget. Then after that the checklist becomes invisible since it's a static element in your environment

[–] cannonship@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Yeah, I can totally see that coming. It really sucks to keep changing your strategy because it doesn’t work anymore.

But, hey! At least we’ll get some days of properly taking a bath 🛀

Improvement is still improvement 🫶🏻

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

maybe you can gamify it?

Someone asked me about 15 years ago if I washed my hair or my body first in the shower to which I said body. Then they asked why I wouldn't want to wash whatever oils/dirt out of my hair first and then work your way down so it doesn't end up on the parts I just cleaned. There is likely no way it would ever matter, but I've washed my hair before my body ever since.

I think about it near every time I shower. Can't even remember who the person was, or where I was asked at. But I remember that all the time

I'm in this comment and I don't like it.

[–] sirimeow@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No no this time I'll manage for sure. It's not like that to do list on the inside of my bedroom door that's been there for years or the reminder widget on my phones home screen or the schedule on my desk gathering dust...

You guys need to stop telling the truth, it’s hurting my feelings

[–] cannonship@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

well, it happened. thank you, tdawg 😠😂

[–] Evil_Shrubbery@lemmy.zip 14 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That's nice (maybe same but with magnets on a board?), but I especially like that you left the choker on the ducky.

[–] cannonship@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Oh, I never thought about magnets working underwater. I mean, I’ve only ever seen dry ones 😅

How / how often do you trim your nails?

[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

And why in the shower/bath. Same for brushing teeth.

[–] QualifiedKitten@discuss.online 3 points 2 months ago

Yeah! Brush your teeth in the kitchen like the rest of us!

None of them are checked.

Take a shower, stinky! :P

[–] janus2@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Oh hey I have one of those! It's the individual parts of my body in the order I prefer to wash them. Has shaved a good 10–20 min off showering for me. :]

I should make one for my dental hygiene routine

[–] cannonship@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I was thinking about going from top to bottom, but this way it’s even better! Thank you!

[–] janus2@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 months ago

even though i go top to bottom the list still helps lol

mainly helps me not forget which parts i already did or be tempted to wash a part a second time to procrastinate moving the fuck on

[–] AppleStrudel@reddthat.com 5 points 2 months ago

That is way too cute. Me, I just have a giant routine tracker page in my notebook to mark things off of as I go.

[–] TDCN 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Lego can also be used for this.

[–] cannonship@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Hm, could you please elaborate? I’m having a hard time picturing how it would work

[–] TDCN 3 points 2 months ago

Just image search for lego task/kanban board.

[–] optissima@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago

Ypu have a list with legos glued on and you add an additional brick when finished

[–] FluidBeef@quokk.au 4 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Wait, you’re supposed to clean your ears?

[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Mine are super clean because I love twirling the Q-tips.

im legit terrified of qtips T_T

[–] Kacarott@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I've heard you aren't actually supposed to, that it can be bad for your ears

[–] Tippon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 months ago

Clean the outsides. You shouldn't put anything inside your ears, not even your fingers, but cleaning behind your ears and rubbing your earlobes between your soapy fingers isn't going to cause any issues 👍

It looks mortified by what it has seen.

can you blame them

[–] cheese_greater@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Scrub bootyhole is missing. Very important.

Holes and Soles, Back and Crack

don't brush your teeth in the bath
