It depends on what we're doing and where we're going. If it's something quick or I'm going to be busy while I'm there, then I'll just take a pair of headphones and two of my android devices, one to listen to music on the way there and back, and another to play games while I'm there if I can. If we're going to be gone for a while, I'll take all of my android devices, my controller, a keyboard and mouse, my tablet stand, and some USB cables and adapters. I would take some other devices, but for right now, android devices are the only portable devices I have that I actively use.

Keys, wallet, phone, vape. Pants are optional, but they do help with carrying the other stuff.

[–] RBWells@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well sometimes nothing if I am with my husband, that is so awesome. But if it's just me - keys and phone are my usual gear, phone can pay for stuff. Bike lock if I am on the bike; purse with all my purse stuff if I'm driving the car.

Stuff in my purse is wallet with ID and cards, vitamins and medicines, hair stuff and lip balm, sunscreen, a Rubik's Cube, a crow whistle and dice, glasses cleaner and sometimes sunglasses.

a Rubik’s Cube

How fast is your fastest? I done the 3x3 in like within 60 seconds, nothing even close to the 5-second that pros get.

[–] RBWells@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago

I suck at it, lucky to solve it at any speed - my penultimate kid is fast though, like you under a minute. Just like to have some analog toys in my bag.

Keys, wallet, phone, pick set (licensed locksmith and it comes in handy), pocket knife. Usually leave the last 2 at home if I am planning on going to anything with security checks.

keys, wallet, bookbag containing medication, e-bike charger, tools to fix flat bike tire, steam deck, phone, and bluetooth earbuds.

[–] ptc075@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

I carry like $2 in change in my right front pocket, and have for as long as I can remember. I cannot leave the house without it anymore - it feels like something is wrong. I also would struggle to tell you the last time I ever NEEDED physical change. It's more of a novelty than anything at this point, but it's part of my routine.

[–] je_skirata@lemmy.today 24 points 1 day ago (3 children)

My glasses. I can't see without my glasses

[–] NarrativeBear@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Shoes and shirt, or no service otherwise.

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Donald Duck would be proud

[–] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Donald Duck doesn't wear shoes, only shirt, bowtie and hat

Meh, that's not even required around my area. Just cover your junk and you're good. 👍

"Testicles, spectacles, wallet, and watch"

Keys, glasses, wallet, and phone.

[–] cdzero@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Keys, phone, wallet. Watch if needing to know the time is relevant on my trip.

I'm a simple man.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

I may trim the wallet down. It's not a Costanza, but I'm not using half of what's in there. I don't trust Samsung/Google/apple pay, so I'm still lugging the card around; but honestly that and my driver license and health ID card is all I really need, and I understand those flicky card case things. Toss a chipolo card thing in there since I leave everything everywhere, and I'm done.

[–] quediuspayu@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Keys, I want to get back in eventually.

Everything else depends on where I'm going.

[–] daniskarma@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago

Found the protester who knows about how to actually protest.

[–] SayJess@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 day ago

My purse has all sorts of things in it. The most useful are the pen light, stubby multi-bit driver, utility knife, and multi-bit electronics driver. That with chargers, and usb cables (A, C, and micro).

Of course that is in addition to what one would typically find in a ladies’ purse. I also have my nicotine products in there.

Every few weeks I sort through what is in there. It’s too bad that it is not really socially acceptable for cishet guys to have a European carry-all.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Wallet, buck knife, mini tape measure. Utter cynicism.

[–] Zorro@mander.xyz 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

My parrot....I'm a pirate 🤫.

Yo ho ho brother

[–] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 day ago (3 children)

It's funny, for years my list was keys, wallet, and phone, and of those it's the keys that go back the furthest. I had a key to my parents house when I was a young teen, and I've always carried keys with me since (I'm in my 60s now). I sold my house a couple months ago, and I've been living in a hotel until I close on a condo, and it feels so strange not to own any keys now, just the key card for the hotel.

Clothes, unfortunately. If I go out nude, the nation will bankrupt itself trying to get a front-row viewing of this show~

[–] smiletolerantly@awful.systems 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Phone + Insulin pen.

My sensor is stuck to my arm anyways, so I'm not counting that.

Nitroglycerin :(

Glad issues were found when they were though and am consistently getting better :)

[–] rowinxavier@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I have ADHD so I get rid of most problems by literally tying things to myself. I have a second belt which goers over my pants and have a hip bag attached to it. In that I have the following;

Disposable nitrile gloves (3-4 pairs)

Hand sanitiser

Power bank (10000mAh)

USB C cable

Thumb drives (one with kids shows, one with software, one blank)

USB A to C adapter

Wallet

ID lanyard

Emergency cash (not in wallet because if I lose my wallet I still have my cash)

Tissues

Aspirin, paracetamol, and ibuprofen

Ritalin

Plastic bags for rubbish

Nasal inhaler (for blocked nose, long term issue)

Car and house keys (attached on a clip, not inside)

Then I have my pockets for phones (I have 2), wireless headphones, and anything else for the day.

By keeping my keys attached I cannot get in the car without my belt bag.

Everytime? Depends on what I am doing. Is it a walk, bikeride, or drive?

Each has different requirements.

Glasses. That is the one thing that is on the list for all trips.

Wallet: drive. License: bike. Helmet: bike. Walk, maybe nothing but glasses.

Phone about half the time for any of those things. Trying to not bring it as much. The thing you miss most with a phone while out when you don't have it is the ability to take pictures.

[–] HakunaHafada@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Clothes. Mostly because public nudity is frowned upon by some people.

[–] DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works 1 points 23 hours ago

"Frowned upon" is understating it. You straight up get locked up.

[–] BurntWits@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I have a sling bag that keeps everything I EDC other than my phone and knife. So phone, knife, and bag is all I think of before leaving home. In my bag:

  • EpiPen
  • Wallet
  • Keys
  • Currently my newborn’s temp health card
  • Leatherman
  • Meds (pain meds, nausea meds, etc)

I’d like to get a decent flashlight and a decent pair of earbuds (either wireless or USB-C wired) so those probably in the near future. Otherwise I think that’s it other than random misc stuff I need to take out (receipts etc).

Obviously also stuff I wear (clothes, wedding ring, watch) but that’s always on.

[–] lepinkainen@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Samesies, but a Savotta Kukkaro

A tiny Anker charger and usb-c cable, 10Ah powerbank, flashlight and then the basic keys, wallet etc.

Compact and durable

[–] DudenessBoy@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I always do the pat check to make sure I have my wallet, phone, and dick

[–] lepinkainen@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch
