Thought I'd post this one here - my first attempt at doing astrophotography. I'm happy enough with how it turned out, but my feet still almost froze off.

Gotta love a hobby where you get to throw your entire paycheck at the sky ;)

Hehe, yeah, photography in itself wasn't expensive enough so why not make it even worse?

My bank account: screaming

Looks great for a first attempt!

Wow this is impressive for a first attempt! I take it this is andromeda? What equipment did you use?

It's taken using a Dwarflab 3, so obviously one can argue about how much I actually did myself :p

Yeah, it's the Andromeda Galaxy. I planned on just trying it out, not expecting it to work so well in the area in front of my apartment (lots of light pollution) - but it worked well enough so I stood there two hours. I would have loved to expose even longer, but my feet were already quite dead at that point.

Whoa, never heard of this thing til now. I just looked it up. I'm surprised such a small thing can do that. Are you enjoying it so far? Your photo is great.

Thank you! Sadly I only got one chance to really use it so far, but I'm happy with it. I could have obviously gotten something bigger but... I can put this thing in my backpack and throw myself on my bicycle to go somewhere, which I couldn't do with bigger kit.
