I feel like our modern life, due to cultural and economic factors, is just slowly.. then rapidly, heading towards being composed almost entirely of a simulacrum. The real being eroded away in favour of the hyperreal

I get the point, you can show the pictures and lie about going on vacation. And, come to think of it, the idea is akin to using filters on zoom, and even makeup, to an extent.
Hmmm, I suppose someday we'll be buying designer digital clothes to wear since everyone will have on AR glasses for every waking moment. After we get rid of the fascists again, the future is going to be weird.
Some people want the cultural value of being seen to go on vacations as the main reason to travel.
Fascists will stay for the foreseeable future. They have nowhere to go, neither do they have any willingness to go. They feel cozy and warm where they are.
A better products would be pictures of me at work so I can go on vacation.
If you can't afford vications in another country, going somewhere local will be way way cheaper! But I guess it's Venice, Paris or go home.
