They actually commented in there modcoord thread. If you’d like the link, just let me know.
yes sure, I think I missed that, the one I saw was https://www.reddit.com/r/RESAnnouncements/comments/141hyv3/announcement_res_reddits_upcoming_api_changes also rif and Apollo announced they shutting down today :(
Guess I'm the only Sync user lol
Been a Sync owner for years.
Me too! I'm going to miss how easy it was to customize the UI, and a lot of the QOL upgrades over the years. I also loved how much the devs interacted with users to improve the app.
I used Joey for reddit. It was incredible. Really sad to see it die
I was a Joey user too. I tried them all and nothing compared to the features and customization that Joey had.
Same. It really had everything.
Sync is my client of choice.
I used Infinity and Stealth as my main clients, I'd love if infinity came over. Not sure if Stealth will because it's intended to be used while signed out, and intentionally doesn't have a way to sign in.
Any idea if Stealth uses APIs or some form of scrapping?
They used the API but added scraping as an option with the last update, they also support Teddit as a backend. Now that I think about it, it's not as unlikely as I thought for them to maybe support Lemmy considering how much they already support.
Good to know. There are still too many things on Reddit I'd like to keep seeing even after my apps 😢 stop working. This might be a way for a while until Lemmy or another alt is fully up to par.
Boost was amazing for me. Daily user, but not anything other than browsing, some commenting, and minimal posting. Is live for the dev to take a crack at a lemmy app
And NoSurf :(
I've been using Joey. Great underrated app.
I've been playing around with Infinity but eventually stuck with Slide.
What's special about Boost? Asking as a person, who browsed reddit with it.
I'm gonna miss boost
I don't actually know, I was just inspired by someone who said Boost gets no love. While I see it mentioned pretty often.
I've tried a bunch and ended up using Boost. It's just a matter of personal preferences of course. I've tried Apollo on the iPad and hated it, for example.
my 2c, Boost just handled layout and text sizes better than RiF on my gigantic android phone
I tried every Reddit client over the years and boost is my all-time favourite. Well actually there was one called Flow that died.
