i want to leave a server but im finding no way to do that, how can i? if this is for some reason impossible, i dont seem to be able to delete my account either to create a new one in a new server. support links arent working.

Deleting the old one isn’t at all required, if that helps. You can use the same names on different instances because they’re known across servers as username@servername.

For whatever reason, I couldn’t get deletion to work on sh.it.works either. Not sure if technical problem or by design.

You could always just register somewhere else and keep that one as a backup

i ran into a similar problem a few weeks ago when lemmy.ml went down for a while. I just gave up and moved to lemmy.world.
