I'm still waiting for a kbin app for Android so that's why I wanted to ask.

Kbin support is planned according to the Sync Discord.

If lemmy and kbin federate together, shouldn't any lemmy app let you access kbin?

You can access kbin (read posts, comment, etc.), but you can't log in to a kbin account using a lemmy app, unless the app supports it.

I'm on kbin, really hoping that the new Sync will work here. However, given the way Lemmy works, I believe that it won't really matter as its just another instance in the Federation

The liftoff app doesn't support Kbin so I guess that could be a barrier?
