Yes. I used both for a while but Reddit got quiet and no point in using Reddit without the apps.

[–] BrokenToshy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

I just use both. Lemmy for general browsing and Reddit when I want a more specific community that isn't around yet.

I was never a 3rd party app user really as I just use old.reddit through the browser on my phone so until old.reddit is killed off I'll probably continue to use both. Once thats gone though I won't be using Reddit, new UI is truly awful

Yes, for sure. Felt like Reddit where going downhill for a long time. This frog is finally jumping out of the pot.

[–] MigratingtoLemmy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Other than some specific subs, yes

100%....Havent even looked back since last Friday around 7 when RIF stopped working...spent a couple hours finding Lemmy and eventually Liftoff, I have a new home now

[–] Woshimaraci@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Yep, left reddit and came to lemmy.

I've already managed to replace Reddit on mobile. On the desktop, however, I'm partially there. There are still a couple of communities I follow that only exist on reddit.

[–] Kempeth@feddit.de 2 points 2 years ago

To about 90% I have. Some communities still simply don't exist or are essentially dead, so for the times where I need something really specific or just a general content fix I still wander over. But it's been a fraction of the time I spent there previously.

[–] preasket@lemy.lol 2 points 2 years ago

Tbh, no. I never used Reddit much.

[–] xeger@lib.lgbt 2 points 2 years ago

Haven’t quit Reddit yet, but I am only posting or commenting to Lemmy and I exhaust the feed here before browsing Reddit.

I’m not highly involved in any communities there, else I’d attempt a mass migration.

So far yep! Why not?

Reddit has no loyalty to me so why should I have to it?

Ultimately I just want some interesting useless funny shit to look at. Doesn't matter where it comes from.

This is my first Lemmy comment ever!

[–] thatonedude1210@beehaw.org 2 points 2 years ago

I already have. There are some specialized subreddits I still peek at, but otherwise it's Lemmy all the way.

Slowly but surely. I can no longer check porn subs on Joey for Reddit so I might try to accelerate the migration.

[–] Capricorny90210@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

I did. I had one sub that I wanted to keep up with so I added them into my RSS reader and spend my time on Lemmy.

[–] general_kitten@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 years ago

with my 3rd party app of choise diem my reddit usage so no more reddit for me

[–] ERRR00000000000@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

Not totally. Reddit is a shithole but it's my shithole

[–] greensky@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 years ago
