I have registered for AWS security specialty exam and need to prepare for it.
Ah cool. I found it relatively challenging when I did it. I used aCloudGuru to prep.
Can you recommend any other resource for prep?
Honestly that's pretty much all I used. In aCloud they link to some AWS-native resources, best-practices guides, etc... but I winged it from there.
Testing a few CTF platforms to learn more about pentesting. It is interesting, but the learning curve is quite steep.
Pentesting skills are built upon skills in Linux and Windows system administration from the command line, networking, some coding usually in Python, knowledge of web applications and web servers, and more. When starting out it can feel bad because you want to learn out pentesting topic X, but then you figure out that you need to go learn at least the basics of fundamental topic A and B first. It’s normal so don’t worry about. Just dig in and enjoy the knowledge journey.
Not really cybersecurity-related but I have spent the better part of the week trying to get MS Config Manager working properly.
