2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

This was my first use of the Tatara Amakuni. This is a very clever and extremely well executed razor for artist club blades.

You can never go wrong with Bleu Man on Bleu Teusday!

That’s a really sleek looking razor. Nice!

Also DBS++; Always a pleasure

Thanks! I used it again today. Lots of thought (I think) went into the weight and balance of this stainless one. Feels really good in-hand.

I have the Tedalus Essence, which is a good shaver. But I must say that for all the cleverness of a magnetic fixation, I prefer the good old mechanical pinching.

I prefer the good old mechanical pinching.

Why is that?

[–] PorkButtsNTaters666@sub.wetshaving.social 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The magnets in the Tedalus are very strong, and its not as easy with it to properly align the blade.

Ok. That makes sense.

Décadi 20 Frimaire an 233 de la Révolution, jour de Hoyau

I believe that I'm the first one here to have conquered death. Anyway, it was only a sample, so nothing to brag about.

Have a good night!

Tabac Tuesday 10 Dec 2024

  • Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts Tabak Oridjinal, now with 28 mm Gelousy knot
  • Razor: Thiers Issard Le Dandy
  • Lather: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
  • Post Shave: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
  • Fragrance: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original

I'm really enjoying Le Dandy recently. The edge I put on it is better than what it had previously and it's just so comfortable now.

Tuesday, December 10, 2024

  • Brush: SBS Elyria - TNS v9 28mm badger
  • Razor: Chiseled Face - Titanium Legacy Razor
  • Blade: Bolzano - Superinox (3)
  • Lather: Barrister and Mann - Lavanille
  • Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Lavanille Aftershave splash
  • Post Shave: Ginger's Garden - Unscented Aftershave balm (+ menthol)
  • Fragrance: Barrister and Mann - Lavanille EdT

My first shave with the Lavanille trifecta was great. I get much more vanilla in the splash and frag than I do in the soap. The combination is just lovely.
