I think just check the amount of new reddit-like fediverse users in the last few weeks, and take away like 25% for multiple instances accounts.

25% sounds about right... most people don't have more than 1 account, but yes, I bet 1 in every 4 people does have more than 1 account. Hell, I have 5 😁.
