A lot of people recommend starting the Discworld series with Mort rather than The Colour of Magic (I'm not actually sure the reason, perhaps something to do with growth into the style?) But I hope you enjoy the book, and series, should you continue with it

Those words do not sound the same
I really enjoy the books by Peter F Hamilton, my favourites being Pandora's Star and it's sequel Judas Unchained.
The worlds he creates are just so detailed and interesting to read about, and of course the story is very compelling
A lot more wholesome than I expected
