There's now going to be a war against Iran, and the US media is portraying Iran as the aggressor, even though Israel blew up Iran's embassy. THAT should have been a call to end support for the genocidal ethnostate of Israel and call for a ceasefire, but instead we're doubling down on support.

Also, friendly reminder that Israel would not be able to do this without US support. Biden could have ended this, but chose not to.

What is your defense now? How can you still justify supporting this genocidal maniac? How low is too low for you? How much suffering is too much? How many lives have to be ended or destroyed because of Biden? How much is enough that you are willing to protest, speak out against it, or at the very least not defend it in some deranged manner with "aT lEaSt He'S nOt TrUmP." People are dying. Imagine being the caliber of person who can excuse this and say this, or even approve of him and say he's doing well.

Literally the only way to look the other way is by convincing yourself that Iranians and Palestinians aren't really human. "Scratch a liberal, and a fascist bleeds" -- maaaannnn I used to think this was a bit overstated, but it's really no exaggeration at all, is it?

In Hawaii, one of the most important sayings is ola i ka wai, "water is life" — a phrase that not only sums up what it means to exist on an island, but what it means to live, period. But now, one of the largest of the island chain's land masses is facing a triple threat to its sole freshwater source, and if it isn't addressed soon, one community member says, "we're in deep trouble."

Despite being surrounded by seemingly endless ocean, freshwater on Oahu, the third-largest of Hawaii's six major islands, is not easily accessible. The island relies on an underground aquifer for its water supply. Replenishing that aquifer is a decades-long natural process, as it takes a single drop of water roughly 25 years to make it there from the sky.

And recent years have seen compounding problems: less rain, leading to significant droughts, and repeated jet fuel leaks and PFAS chemical spills contaminating water systems. All of this significantly limits available water use for locals, many of whom say tourism is only worsening the situation. Just months ago, the world's largest surfing wave pool opened up on the island — filled with freshwater.

I recommended this book in another comment, but I think it's an important book, especially considering how we can often feel isolated and helpless to effect change

I have no delusions of this getting through to the liberal centrists who need to hear it. If being made aware of Israel's atrocities (which the US is making possible) doesn't persuade them, then I don't think this will -- but maybe it will get through to people who have accidentally been propagandized by these centrists.
