When I lock my phone or Swipe out of element, I can hear the call but they can no longer hear me. (lemmy.ml)

Is this a setting in element? Is this a feature of matrix?

Is this possibly a permission of my GrapheneOS?

I don't know if it's related, but in my case it also happens when I lock the phone when making a call.

I think it started happening when I updated the phone to Android 13... Maybe it was some change in the Android API?

quite possible yes. I use Android 14. I didn't use the feature in the past, though, so I don't have a clue when it may have started.

I so love it how much google strives to ensure compatibility. I have several other broken apps too, some are completely so, unfortunately. they have the way to do it, they just don't care
