I hate it but it actually could be strategically the right move. This war could stretch for another few years. Which means by the time Ukraine actually ramps up their minerals business the orange baby hopefully is out of office (and behind bars). And then this bullshit contract can be thrown out or renegotiated.
Yeah I'd immediately abandon that deal as soon as it's useful to do so just like the US did with the 92 security agreement they reneged on.
And NAFTA free trade agreement (I added the redundancy to help the dunces)
Yeah I've been starting to think this too. Zelensky is just trying to get security NOW, but knows the USA situation can change at any time again, like it just did.
Get security now, sue or just ignore the agreement later.
I've also read that there might not be as much minerals as everyone makes out. Data is from old Soviet era surveys.
