Not all(most I assume) are made in Europe, I think Taiwan is one of the most common :(

But aren't all frames basically from China? I've seen a report on how only America tride to protect their market.

Somehow I have in my mind that Taiwan is the most common manufacturing country for bicycles but I'm probably biased always looking at the more high-end cycling stuff. There Taiwan is lot more common than China

Could be! I might be mistaken, but I only wanted to point out that all frames sold in europe weren't produced in Europe, just assambled..

Yeah, mentioned that in the OP too because I think it's rather important detail. I don't know for sure that all are manufactured outside Europe, but most are for sure

At least the frame in some cinelli models is manufactured in Italy

Most of frames comes from China & Taiwan, but there is a big industry in Portugal (Agueda area), i. e. frames from Riese und Mรผller (German brand) are made in Portugal.

Lots of local brands are made in EU as well (Germany, Netherlands, Estonia, France...)
