So tull reformed a bit before covid and came out with an album just after covid, the zealot gene, which blew me away with how it captured that time period. They then had the rock (this should be scandavian word but i don't know how to do umlas) flute which was back to the sorta folk rock they have been known for. Now it looks like a new one will be coming up which I think is called the tipu house and they have two of the songs on youtube and it looks like it will be more like the zealot gene. Im a fanboy who who likes most all there stuff right up to roots to branches outside of underwraps (although I like one rendition of the title song) but can also add the christmass album. When they disbanded I was like. Well can't complain. It was one hell of a good run. Did not think it would reform, much less at this level of quality. I would have to go back to stormwatch to get something I have liked as much as the new millenium albums.
Anything like aqualung on there? Love that song. Not a big fan of the rest of the album.
I mean that is maybe the most iconic song of the band. Im guessing if thats the only song you like from them then its unlikely you are going to like the new stuff. If someone like the whole album and likely other classic ones like songs from the woods or living in the past they are more likely to. Martin Barre is not part of the new lineup who did the iconic riff from aqualung but I have seen people who are bigger fans of the new guy but honestly I am more in it for the flute and other odd instruments and progressive rock feel.
Oh yeah. That kind of sucks but it’s whatever. Aqualung was one of the first songs I ever learned on guitar lol
