Still learning where to find stuff, and unfortunately most of "my" subreds aren't here (yet), but it looks promising and will continue to support.
You can use the universal https://lemmyverse.net/ to see if your favourite communities exist.
Yeah pretty much but weaning off reddit is good

Also consider joining more general communities
!jrpg@lemmy.zip is a community for all Japanese RPGs for instance
Welcome ! Indeed, niche topics need a larger userbase, hopefully we'll get there over time
sometimes they have different names.
you can also create any community you are missing. If you use the same name as the reddit community then people will be more likely to find it and contribute.
