I got a new account after my old one got banned but now I never challenge the echo chamber. I just ban/block obnoxious subs and users to avoid the temptation. I stay mainly for some interest groups there and local subs.
Saw one mod in a sub bragging about how they banned lots of users for challenging a post and they were getting cheered on. Wonder if that is in line with reddit's policy?
I heard on modhelp, how they were salivating over the indiscriminate banning of the filters
How can you circumvent a reddit ban?
You don't, you wait it out until they stop blocking that IP or email. New account.
I did that with alternate location and ip, before the pandemic. Now that I don't, I received so much more bans than beforem
Okay cool. Is that about a year or two for them to stop blocking it?
I waited about 6 months and I'm using the same email and devices. It felt like I had a temp shadowban when I was back on but after about 2 months that seems to have gone away.
I avoid getting pulled into fights now by blocking users and subreddits that are obnoxious.
The main reason I want to be back on reddit is some repeatedly keeps claiming on of my favorite local restaurants has bland food and doesn't use enough salt. In actually though the restaurant uses a little bit too much salt.
Really want to tell them they are a moron.
If you create multiple accounts they will shadowban you even. More. The best is to wait a while before creating a new one, use different devices, browsers if possible a different IP ,like a cafe or library. The more they catch, you the easier they can ban your newly created accounts faster
