Especially when all the new titles are just graphics updates on older games.
I don't give a fuck if Mario has DLSS on his eyeball so you can really feel his pain when he's hit with a blue shell.
The Wii was a notable exception to the rule. Can't really do Wii Sports on an Xbox controller.
For me it's just those Wii games left that I play on my original Wii but everything else, including other Wii games that can be played with pro controller, I use dolphin and other emulators, it's more convenient than having to dust off the old device
I set up Wii Games so you can play with a Dualsense controller using its gyro functions natively and it worked pretty well after a brief adjustment period, at least for games which use the Wii Remote + Nunchuck. You are right in that Gyro is an absolute necessity for Wii games, an Xbox controller won't work. Maybe for some games which aren't as motion heavy (simple actions can be simulated) but most you need some kind of gyro controls to play comfortably.
I don't think playing Wii Sports with a Dualsense would be fun at all.
Maybe not but I haven't tried it yet I was trying with other Wii games but not Wii sports, the gyro in the Dualsense does work for Wii games surprisingly well.
I can't imagine a grip of a controller, one handed, that would be comfortable or effective when using it like a tennis racket, golf club, sword, or equipment for nearly any other sport in the game.
