Hyposmia (poor sense of smell)

Being deficient in a sense might seem like a downside but I find that people's comments about smells in the world are far more negative than they are positive.

am a nurse who can't smell well. it's definitely a superpower in that context.

well sort of. there are some things it would really help to detect faster. but I'm also really good at specific cleaning tasks that other people struggle with.

Interesting …. I wonder if I have that. I never really thought of it before and don’t have enough data, but …..

When my kids were little, I always got diaper duty and vomit duty, because the smell didn’t seem to bother me as much as my spouse, or maybe she took advantage, I don’t know

Well, I know you know this already. But people do tend to comment on the bad smells because they are warning signs.

There are more pleasant smells out there. People just don't comment on them as often.
