Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Back when I was a kid, we had much better social welfare, higher wealth taxes and more asylum grants. And social media was forum sites, usenet and email-based stuff, not Facebook (though I wasn't online back then).
I like having the right to exist within society ๐ฅบ
Although to be fair, I do miss the Usenet & IRC days. It felt so easy to connect with people on a personal level back when the Internet was less crowded. Much less arguing, and much more being excited to be there.
Yeah, society definitely advanced when it comes to acceptance of e.g. homosexuality. Though the current direction is "backwards" in most countries ...
I feel like to comes down to not what the particular rights were at the time but the direction they were going over a period like a decade. This is why I don't like how things have gone since the 70's. I feel progress slowed in the 80's and went to a crawl this millenium and has not been looking good the last 20 years and is basically regressing.
People are more accepting (or at least less willing to be a bigot in public) of a bunch of stuff today than even 20 years ago, though, at least in places that didn't go full MAGA. The leader of my country's biggest far right party is literally a lesbian woman!
