It mostly requires a proper grid that is capable of dealing with lots of decentralized feed in and battery / vehicle-to-grid storage. You cant even use VHG in most western countries yet. Fucking abyssmally behind as usual with new tech. The cycle lifetimes are going up, the price per kWh is crashing. Just stop thinking in top down topology.
