I’m looking into getting an instant camera. I was drawn to the Fujifilm Instax cameras but it looks like the instant film for it can come out to $2 a photo which is pretty expensive imo.

I want this to take small color photos for journaling/scrapbooking/logging and may need to take a lot of photos at once (i.e. logging results of glazes on a ton of test tiles).

Also I don’t really care if it’s true analog or a digital camera that just prints out, but it does need to be color.

Anyone have any good reccs?

You didn't really give a use case beyond taking lots of photos. With that in mind maybe get a Instax printer. Use any camera you like, take as many pictures as you want, edit if necessary and print your favorites. Yes you will be using the same $2/print but now you get more control over what gets printed. There are even some higher end Instax cameras that have an SD card slot that allow you to do everything in one device that keep in line with the retro Polaroid aesthetic if that's what you're after.
