Well, which is it? It's not Schrodinger's eavesdrop. You either did it, or you didn't. All this backpeddling just makes it sound like you definitely did but are trying to cover it up.

Because that's obviously the case. They not only admitted to doing it, they even sent the defense a recording that PROVES it.

Rule 1 of getting away with illegal covert surveillance: don't send the recordings to the victim.
